Snickas let a golden opportunity slip away in a 4-3 loss.
With a chance to eliminate the Swamp Donkeys from regular Season title contention, Snickas came out flat and never really got into the game. The Swamp Donkeys iced a team of 6 skaters and a goalie and seemed to have more life than a Snickas Squadron that was only missing 2 players.
Snickas were kept in the game by some great saves but even goalie Kirk Burgess couldn't escape the blame game. With Snickas trailing by one in the second period, Burgess came out for a puck and completely missed the poke check. It was an easy tap in from there and despite having a chance to tie in the dying seconds Snickas regular season title hopes took a massive blow.
Snickas Stats:
Goals: Craig Morton (9), Darren Steedman (3), & Neil Townsend (9)
Assists: Dan Tojeira (11), Chris Murdoch (5), Chris Morton (16), Pete Hogan (2), David Mammoliti (10), & Kirk Burgess (4)
