Snickas win again; 3 in a row!
Snickas won their third game in row last night with a convincing 4-1 win over the Seamen. It may not have been their best game of the year but the boys in tan put out a total team effort. Strong performances in goal, on the blueline, and on the penalty kill were the real difference makers.
Snickas have had no trouble filling the net in bunches this season and that streak continued with 4 second period goals that killed the game in their favour. Seamen scored late in the second period but in the third period goalie Kirk Burgess slammed the door. Snickas have only conceded 6 goals in their last three games and seem to have put their early season defensive lapses behind them.
Snickas Stars:
1st Star: Brian Titherington, 2 goals including a beauty penalty shot. BT now leads the league in goal scoring with 9.
2nd Star: Dave Mammoliti, a goal and an assist for the diminutive power forward.
3rd Star: Craig Morton, ran his point streak to 8 games by scoring the game winner.
